At Hartwell we love reading! But unfortunately, although we have a lovely big library that is packed full of great Fiction books, we don’t have enough up-to-date Non-Fiction books. Now this presents us with a problem as books are quite expensive so we have decided to run a summer reading challenge to raise money for some new Non Fiction books.

The challenge will run from Friday 14th June to Friday 12th July and in this time you can either be sponsored for:

  • How many books you read …..or
  • How many words you have read

In the meantime, Library Guardians are going to visit each class and ask the children what type of Non Fiction books really interest them…could it be…..

Following our school results as published in December, please click here to see a letter of congratulations to our school, sent from Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP and Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP.

The results of the Key Stage 2 assessments last year show that 100% of the children in our school reached or exceeded the expected standard in writing and mathematics, putting Hartwell Primary School in the top 1% of primary schools in England.
