Flourish

Hartwell Primary School and the Flourish Project

Hartwell Primary School is honoured to have been selected by the Church of England as one of just 40 schools across England to pilot the innovative Flourish project. This initiative explores what it means to be a worshipping community within a school setting.

We are delighted to work alongside Fi Messenger from ARCHWAY, who supports our pupils in leading bi-monthly community worship sessions after school. These gatherings provide a meaningful opportunity for reflection and connection.

In addition, we have created a beautiful spiritual garden featuring vibrant flowers, a fire pit, and comfortable seating. During dry weather, our Flourish events are held in this tranquil outdoor space, welcoming the entire community to join us. These events are consistently well-attended, fostering a strong sense of togetherness.

Complementing the Flourish community events is a leadership course designed to help our pupils develop valuable skills such as responsibility, curiosity, organisation, effective communication, and active listening. This course also offers a thoughtful exploration of the Christian faith, enriching their personal and spiritual growth.
